No, THTCars DO NOT accept cash at any branch.

We accept debit cards, but some restrictions apply. Please see our Rental Terms at Privacy Policy for more information.

We accept all major credit cards including VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We DO NOT accept Electronic Cards, Checks, Cash, Prepaid Cards, or Gift Cards as methods of payment.

Using our THTCars website www.THTCars.com, you can pay in advance by selecting "Pay Now" at the time of booking. Other providers also offer the option to prepay for their reservations. Keep in mind that the credit card must be presented at the time of rental.

No, at the time of rental you must meet all qualifications. The name, address, driver’s license, and major credit card must match the name on the rental agreement.

A standard $250 deposit is required on a major credit card. For deposits using debit cards, please see our Deposits section at Terms & Conditions.

The deposit is refundable or released after the end of the rental agreement. It usually takes between 5 to 7 business days to be reflected by your bank institution.

The primary piece of identification required to rent a vehicle with THTCars is a valid driver’s license. For international customers or those using a non-US driver’s license, a secondary form of ID, such as a valid passport, government-issued ID card, or international license, must be provided. Other documents may be required as proof of insurance. Please see our Rental Terms at Terms & Conditions for more information.

You will be sent an email shortly after making your reservation to the email address supplied when your booking was made. If you do not receive your confirmation within 48 hours of making your reservation, please connect with Live Support Agent 24/7

The minimum age to rent a vehicle with THTCars is 21 years old. Drivers under the age of 25 may be subject to a young driver surcharge.

A renter with a driver’s license issued in the same state as the rental pick up location. The renter also cannot demonstrate that they have flown into an airport near the location where they wish to rent, and that they have a return flight.

If you know you may miss the start of your rental, please contact the branch as soon as possible to let them know. If you can’t get through, please connect with Live Support Agent 24/7. We can only hold a car for you for a limited amount of time, especially during busy periods. If you are due to be late returning your rental vehicle please call the branch as soon as convenient to give them a realistic time of your return. We have a grace period of 59 minutes before you will be charged a late fee unless communication has been made to the branch.

We offer a complimentary shuttle service on our branches from the Airport to our facilities. Yes, you can add an additional driver to your rental. The additional driver must be present at the time of pickup and meet our age and driving record requirements. There may be an additional fee for this service.

THTCars don’t offer unlimited mileage on rentals. However, please check your rental agreement or contact our customer service for specific details related to your rental.

If your reservation was confirmed directly with THTCars through the THTCars web page at www.THTCars.com, please use our “Rental Policy” page www.THTCars.com/Rental-Policy to cancel your reservation. THTCars does not charge a cancellation fee on Pay Later reservations, but does request a cancellation notice as soon as your travel plans have changed. You can cancel your THTCars booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled collection time. If you fail to tell us of your cancellation prior to the scheduled collection time or not arrive to collect your reserved rental car, we will charge you up to 3 days rental as a No Show Fee. If your reservation was confirmed through another provider (booking site, outside source, etc.), please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Some providers may charge for the cancellation of a reservation if not canceled within a specific time frame. Cancellation of a reservation directly through THTCars, when confirmed through another provider, may not relieve your responsibility with that provider. In order to avoid charges (cancellation fee or penalty), check with the provider and cancel the reservation directly with them.

To request an extension of the rental, you can use our Manage My Booking section on our website at www.thtcars.com/reservations. The extra day rate may vary according to fleet availability and season. If the rental is overdue or with a pending balance, extensions are not allowed on our website. If you are using a Third Party Insurance or the website is not allowing your extension for any other reason, please communicate directly with the originated branch or Customer Services at . Otherwise, the renter must return the vehicle to the branch immediately to avoid Late Return Fees or other related charges.

You are responsible for the payment of any and all tolls incurred during the rental period. However, for your convenience, we offer EZTag, an optional electronic toll payment service whereby all toll charges and any other toll-related fees you incur are covered during the rental period. EZTag allows for quick by-pass of unmanned and manned toll booths; you’ll cruise right through traffic.
EZTag must be accepted at the time of pickup and be applied for the entire length of the rental. EZTag service covers tolls incurred in Texas only. The current rates applicable to the EZTag service are from USD/9.99 to USD/12.99 per rental day depending on location. Customers with EZTag Portable transponders may use their transponders in our rental vehicles at their own risk, as EZTag does not acknowledge some devices, and in these cases customers might be responsible for charges incurred.
THTCars always recommends the EZTag when possible. EZTag peel and stick products will not function in THTCars vehicles. Please see our Rental Terms at us www.THTCars.com/Rental-Policy for more information.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a specific make or model of vehicle. The featured vehicles that are displayed for each car class on the THTCars website or partner booking sites are only representations of the type of vehicle that may be available at the time of pick up. However, we can guarantee you the class you reserved. If we don’t have the car class available you reserved, we can upgrade you to the next car class.

You can go to our www.THTCars.com home page, click on “My Reservations”, and login using your reservation reference number and last name to View, Modify or Cancel.

A ‘No-show’ is when you didn’t change or cancel your reservation before your rental is due to start, or fail to pick the car up at the arranged time and date, or fail to provide the documentation that’s required to pick the car up, or fail to provide a credit card in the main driver’s name with enough available funds on it. In all of these cases, the customer will not be entitled to a refund.
